Oh, We've Met!

I'm so glad I've met the love of my life. It's been nearly 37 years, three sons and three grand kids since Dana and I were married and we are having a great time growing old together. But I heard this song yesterday and thought how tough it must be for those who haven't had the pleasure and honor of meeting their special someone. I will say it isn't all marching bands and confetti, but it is grand. Let me encourage you to keep looking for the person God has picked out just for you. Sure there will be tough times. But in the midst of the character building moments, don't forget to take advantage of the bands and confetti.

U Verse: It Rhymes With Curse

I took the plunge. I had Dish Network. It wasn't all that bad, but U Verse sounded better-more channels and better picture. What they forgot to tell me was that the bugs haven't been worked out yet. When it works it's great! The problem is that it rarely works very long without me having to call them. The fact that I already have their number memorized is not good. If it wasn't for their wonderful telephone techs I'd already be gone. But these folks are the best! They fix everything that is broken; well except for the TV box that is in my room. A local guy had to come out and replace that. So as I miss out on shows such as American Idol (last Tuesday's female singers)and the Great American Race (last night)the closer I come to saying good-bye. And you know what? Neither one of us wants to be the first to say good-bye.
